Namaste, ya’ll.

If you’ve found your way here, we believe it’s for a reason. We believe it’s because you belong.

The Story
How Zin Came to Be

One room, built for everyone. For eleven years and counting.

Kara O’Briant opened Zin in Garner in 2013 with a straightforward idea: this community deserved a space where you could take care of your body and take care of your evening, without having to choose between them.

What started as a yoga studio grew into something harder to name. The wine lounge opened. Events started filling the calendar. A teacher training program grew from a single student into a full cohort. A community formed around the space the way communities do around places that mean it.

Zin now operates as a yoga studio, a wine lounge, and a private event space — three businesses under one roof, held together by the same conviction that got it started: all are welcome here.

“Our vision is that of a watering hole — a place where ALL can come, regardless of our differences, to receive the nourishment we need.”

What We Believe
“What matters most to us is that our space is one where genuinely and truly ALL are welcome; where folks of all shapes, colors, sizes, backgrounds, experiences and beliefs can come together to care for and connect more deeply with self and community.”
Kara O’Briant · Founder, Zin Yoga & Wine
What Makes Zin

Three things that have never changed
in eleven years.

01
Balance.

We believe in meeting every person exactly where they are on any given day. No judgment, no pressure, no comparison.

02
Accessibility.

The studio was built for all bodies, all levels, all lives. We have a class for wherever you are. Beginners are always welcome.

03
Community.

The room stays warm because the people keep coming back. That’s the whole thing. Skip, stumble, laugh, love, breathe, sip — we’re doing it together.

Truly can’t say enough about this studio. Kara is very conscious about hiring teachers who value their clients and community. They are all so very sweet. And having the lounge with a great wine and gift selection is a wonderful added bonus!

— Jamie P. · Zin student

Zin has been reviewed as one of Garner’s favorite community spaces for years. The combination of yoga and wine under one roof means every visit can start at the mat and end at the bar — or just be one of the two.

Whatever you need on any given day, you’ll find it here.
